We provide a professional mole catching service in Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Aylesford, Kings Hill, Bearsted, Harrietsham, West Malling, Chatham, Gillingham, Iwade, and surrounding areas, so please get in touch and see how we can help.

The common European Mole (Talpa europaea) is a fascinating, rarely seen creature, even though the damage they cause is very obvious and common. Mole hills are created by the mole pushing the excess soil from their extensive tunnelling operations to the surface. They contain a ventilation shaft to provide oxygen to the various feeding and living runs.

Why control moles?

One mole can create around 25 metres of new tunnels a day, rapidly destroying prize lawns and ruining crops on farmland.
The stones and soil brought to the surface to moles can cause expensive damage to mowers and amenity or farming equipment, as well as potentially containing harmful bacteria such as Clostridium and Listeria.
The shallow feeding runs can collapse, causing harm to both people and livestock, and play can be interrupted at sports venues, such as football pitches and golf courses.

Mole routine:

Moles operate on approximate cycles of 4 hours hunting/ digging and four hours sleeping, meaning they can often be caught very quickly with correct trap placement. Living underground they have adapted to need very low oxygen content in the air they breathe. They have a very high level of haemoglobin in their blood to help carry the little available oxygen, leaving them very vulnerable to huge blood loss if they are injured. Our professional traps kill the  mole as quickly and humanely as possible, and for this reason we advise you to call in a professional rather than attempting to kill the moles yourself.
